JUDGING

 

HORSEFEATHERS PLEASURE JAM 2009 CONTEST FORMAT: SLOPESTYLE

Invited Riders: Men 10, Ladies 3
Registered Riders: 80 Men, 17 Ladies

 

IN GENERAL:

• 4 Judges will score each rider on a scale of 1-100
• Practice will take place before each session
• Best Trick judged on the Final Day

MEN’S AND LADIES’ QUALIFIERS ON FRIDAY:

• Start list order (Bib numbers drawing, Thursday, 6 p.m. Hohenhaus Tenne, Schladming)
• Two Men’s sessions á ca. 40; two runs (best score counts)
• One Session of 17 women consists of two runs (best score counts)
• Top 10 Men (3 fixed of each session plus the next 4 highest scores will advance to the Final-Qualifier)
• Top 5 Ladies will advance to the Final-Qualifier

MEN’S AND LADIES’ FINAL-QUALIFIERS ON SATURDAY:

• Start list order after the Drawing at the Galadinner (Friday, Hohenhaus Tenne)
• One heat of 20 Men (10 advancing from qualifiers plus 10 invited)
• One heat of 8 Ladies (5 advancing from qualifiers plus 3 invited)
• MEN: 3 runs – BEST 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT RUNS COUNT!
• LADIES: 2 runs – BEST OF 2 RUN
• Top 8 Men advance to Superfinals
• Top 4 Ladies advance to Superfinals

 

 

MEN’S AND LADIES’ SUPERFINALS ON SATURDAY:

• Start list order –seeded from the Final-Qualifiers
• One heat of 8 Men
• One heat of 4 Ladies
• MEN: 3 runs – BEST 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT RUNS COUNT!
• LADIES: 2 runs – BEST OF 2

 

Judging Criteria:

The Judges follow the Judging Criteria of the TTR.
The judges will score the run by evaluating the run’s “Overall Impression” by the following criteria:

• The whole run appraised: tricks, flow, amplitude, controlled performance
• First emphasis on progression
• Secondary emphasis on tricks and trick sequences
• Third emphasis on style and risk

Scoring Base: 0 – 100 Points Scale

• (0-20: Poor)
• (20-40:Fair)
• (40-60:Average)
• (60-80: Good)
• (80-100:Excellent)

BERND EGGER

Bernd is a member and also one of the fouders of the famous Ästhetiker Crew. He snowboards since 1988 and is a shredder from the heart! Besides his studies in Graz in summer, he shreds the whole winter. If you are in Flachauwinkl sometimes, you will maybe meet him there because this is his local resort!

GIGI SCHEIDL

Gigi is a former head shaper of Snowpark Kitzbuehel North, one of QParks latest projects in the Austrian Alps.
Now he is working at the Schladming Mountain School as a snowboard freestyle trainer. Furthermore he is in the core team of Snowboard Austria and training supervisor of level 3 instructors. During the last few years he judged most of the events of the SICK TRICK TOUR in Austria, the Crew Battle at Snowpark Bispingen in Germany and he also was in the judging team of last years Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam.
